What a surprise to find yet another entry into my mother's Legacy Book from a member of the Buckeye Rd. community. Thank you for sharing your recollections of both the store and my parents. 
I had forgotten about the 3 way mirror at the rear of the store. It's interesting what memories remain after all these years. Your recollection of my dad shopping for a dress for your mother in New York City is truly indicative of the interest he took in our customers, and your description of my mother is spot on as well. I definitely remember your mother's name, but as with Lois' entry, I can't conjure up a face to accompany it. Thank you for taking the time you share your thoughts with us.  Best regards, Roy M. Dear Family- You do not know me, nut I knew your parents. I too grew up in the area of Buckeye and shopping at your parent's store is one of my fondest memories. My mother, Helen Hudak, was a regular with Ralph and your mom. Ralph "went to New York" to find a gown for my mom for my wedding. My sister and I loved shopping at the store and as a result, we were some of the best dressed in our school. I remember the carpeting, the 3way mirrors and the warm and friendly atmosphere. I remember your mom's kindness, her gentle yet steadfast manner, and that she was so ladylike....a time gone by.  Thanks to your mom and dad for such wonderful memories! I am so sorry for your loss. Dear Lois,

Thank you for the meaningful entry into my mother's Legacy Book. I am so pleased that you have such fond memories of shopping at our dress shop with your mother. No doubt my parents and grandparents would be pleased as well. I spent many years working at the store, remember your family name, but can't conjure up an image or you or your mother. I wish I could. 

Your recollections exemplify the atmosphere and shopping experience that my family strived to create for our customers. You may remember our seasonal window displays as well. I always enjoyed watching the window trimmers transform them as the seasons changed. Santa's yearly appearance and the recording of him sending good cheer to passers-by was always eagerly anticipated by me. Thanks for taking the time to share your kind memories of my parents.

Dear Family
you do not know me, but I grew up off Buckeye Rd and I remember your Mom and Dad, and when I saw the name Randi--also remembered this name--perhaps they just mentioned you--or you worked there, not sure. My Mom had a career when other women did not--just as your Mom.  She also had a great sense of fashion and bought all of her tasteful and lovely clothing at Rosenbluth's.  She and I would walk up and shop.  I remember what lovely and caring people your Mom and Dad were--we always felt so welcomed and attended to.  I remember being in the dressing room with my Mom, trying on lovely dresses, blouses and skirts.  She was so happy to find wonderful things to wear.  We did not have a lot of money, but your Mom and Dad made her feel like she was a queen.  I thank you for that.  
You are blessed  to have such wonderful parents.  I am blessed to have such wonderful memories.  thank you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rose at least once.  I remember her as a classy lady, very vibrant and lovely.  Her offspring serves as a wonderful legacy that carries on in her name

Nana was a tough cookie who always knew exactly what she wanted and never let anyone stand in her way of getting it. Her fierceness and dignity were paired with her sense of humor. She is loved and will be very missed.

ROSE ROSENBLUTH
1922  2015

Rosee, as my father dubbed her years ago, was unique as the way he chose to spell her name.  Dedicated and deeply in love with my father, who she lost in his 68th year, instead of retreating into herself she developed the will to continue alone, cherish his memory, and bloomed into the complex and beautiful flower who name she bore.  

Rosee was known for her uncanny sense of humor, good spirits and pride of appearance. She was strong willed, had beliefs with which I often disagreed, but was open to changing her mind if a convincing argument could be made by the opposition. Never vindictive, she had a long memory for perceived injustices, but never became bitter. She was in fact most often fun to be around. 

She loved to paint, and later in life produced some wonderful figurative acrylic works depicting iconoclastically fashionable women.  

Her wacky sense of humor appears to have been passed down to both me and my daughter Meredith, possibly my son, Brandon and I think my sister, Randi; but Randi and Brandon best speak to that for themselves.  For sure, Randi, Mere(dith) and I inherited her boisterous laugh which can be distinguished from all others even within a crowded room or theatre. 

I guess life is fundamentally about playing the hand that one has been dealt, and mom played hers by her own rules and did an admirable job in living a fulfilling life.  I am most grateful that she lived into her 92nd year, and was able to see my children and Randi's develop into unique admirable young adults and had the opportunity to glimpse into the young lives of her four great-grandchildren.

When the time arrived for mom to depart this earth her bags were packed and she was waiting at the station. Life within her body became much more of a burden than a joy. She fought the brave fight and came back from the brink several times in the last 5 or 6 yrs. For that I will be eternally grateful. We are all unique beings and certainly consider ourselves as such, but her uniquenesses, for the most part, made her a very special person who brought concern, insight, humor and friendship into the lives of those who knew her.  Parts of her nature reside within me, my children, my sister and niece and nephews, and to that end she continues to live on. 

She will truly be missed, but there's peace in knowing her life was a full one and that she was resigned to say goodbye and move on, and did so fearlessly.  Thanks for being my mother. I love you. Roy

Rose was the second funniest person I know.  First funniest being her son, Roy.  We loved her greatly and miss her greatly.
