Ruth Bonn (nee Browm) of Boca Raton, Florida and formerly Beachwood, OH, passed away peacefully on October 16 at the age of 94. Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Bonn, cherished mother of Debbie Ellis (the late Larry), Jo Ann Colwell (Joan Gottschling) and Margery Reiff (deceased); loving grandmother of Amanda (Dan) Rosenberg, Julie (Dan) White, and Justin Reiff; and loving great grandmother of Abby, Hailey, and Zachary Rosenberg, and Jordyn and Remy White.
Ruth was born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania and grew up in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. She was a graduate of the Flora Stone Mather College (now Case Western Reserve University) where she majored in Social Work and met her husband. She dedicated her life to the two things that brought her great joy and fulfillment: forever loving and caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, always taking great pride and pleasure in selecting the perfect birthday gifts for them; and volunteering her entire adult life at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Boca Regional Hospital, and Hospice by the Sea/Trustbridge Hospice of Boca Raton.
She was an avid bridge player right up until the end and often commented to her family and friends that “Bridge is the last thing to go”. This gave her children a good laugh and she proved it was true. She traveled the world with her husband Ray, of 69 years, and they enjoyed many years of tennis, water skiing, boating, and attending Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins football games together.
