Sammy started in the car business at the age of 16. He was given his first job by Sam Marshall, who was the first Jewish Ford dealer in the country. Sammy spent all of his life in the wholesale car business.
Sammy was the co-owner, with his brother Harvey, of the Elsner’s and Harvey’s Restaurants.
Sammy graduated from Beachwood High School and attended the University of Las Vegas in Nevada.
Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKAT MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Heights, Wednesday, June 5th at 1:00 PM. Interment Bet Olam Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Acacia on the Green, 2202 Acacia Park Dr. (Community Room), Lyndhurst IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING INTERMENT WEDNESDAY ONLY. Contributions are suggested to the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital.
