Dear Gene, Fern, Lisa, Lloyd, and extended family - I was so saddened to hear of Sandra's passing.  I have great memories of spending time with Sandra and Gene when I lived in Cleveland.  Most notable (and most fun!) was the time we spent vacationing together in Mexico, decades ago. Many laughs, many drinks, and a whole lot of great conversation. Sandra was a very special person. Our sincere condolences on the loss of a truly wonderful woman.  We were shocked and saddened by the news of Sandy's passing.
Though we have been away from Cleveland for many years now, we have always held your friendship dear.  On the rare occasions when we were able to return, we treasured our special dinners together at Hunan By The Falls.
May her memory be a blessing to her entire family and her many friends.

Billy and I send our most heartfelt love and caring to Sandra's entire family and especially Marc, Lisa, Ariana and Corey. Listening to the beautiful eulogy today helped us further understand what a wonderful, loving and special woman she truly was. She lived her life with such love. I have a lifetime of memories populated with Aunt Sandy. My mother's best friend and the sweetest lady one could know. She lit up any room she was in... 

Aunt Sandy was a huge hit at my wedding. People whom she had never met are still talking about how nice and friendly she was, how warm and welcoming and how much fun they had spending time with her. My mother in law Amy was immediately taken in by Aunt Sandy as family and she always talks about her. 

I recall so many visits to Uncle Gene and Aunt Sandy's house... she introduced me to cookies and cream ice cream and my response to that inspired her to always have it on hand for our visits.  

I will miss her dearly.

To be Sandy’s brother-in-law for all these years, is to have known and loved the sweetest, kindest and most wonderful person in my lifetime. She was the dearest friend and sister-in-law to my beloved wife, Loraine.  My sons, Gary, Ken, Brian and I will truly miss aunt “Snodra.” 

My life's earliest memories include Sandra working in the office of the little-old State Wholesale store on St. Clair (State Novelty then?) where she would let me play with a typewriter.  Probably planted the seed for my very-interesting  court-reporting career.  

Also vividly remember that, back then, I called her "Sander."

Sandy, my 1st cousin, and I were business partners even before attending elementary school. 
 
We had two businesses:
The1st was as painting contractors.  My mom started us out in business by providing pails of water and paint brushes so we could pain our house on Bendemeer Road in Cleveland Heights.  The 2nd was the gasoline filling station business.  Our first customer was our grandparents who lived on Columbia in the city.  They had a gravel driveway and we wanted to help keep their gasoline tank full.  You can imagine how we were able to help them out.  Thankfully we were discovered before any real damage was done.

We were very close in those years as our families lived only 2-3 blocks apart in Cleveland Heights. Our mothers, being sisters, were very close resulting in our families being together a lot.  Sandy & I often reminisced about those early years and our fond family memories.  I will miss her smiling face and the good times we had together.  Remembering those good times will keep her in my heart forever.  Gene, Fern, Lisa & Lloyd, remembering the good times you had with her will help ease the pain we all feel by her loss.


Sandy always had a smile on her face. She was always so kind and loving, I adored her.  I have such fond memories of Sandy as I have been dear friends with Fern since elementary school. Sandy will be sorely missed. She was a bright light that will always be admired and remembered.

We lived next door to Sandy and Gene for 25 years.Sandy always checked to see that my kids got off the bus and into the house while I was at work. Gene and Joel washed the cars on Sunday which probably took all day because they talked so much.
When they moved to Baywood Sandy would call when a condo was for sale. She wanted us to be neighbors once again. 
I will miss her terribly. She was the nicest sweetest person you could ever meet. I will always treasure her friendship. My heart is breaking.
