

Sheila Adler, age 85, passed away earlier this week. She dedicated her life to education as a special education teacher for the Mayfield City Schools, passionately serving her students with unwavering commitment.
A devoted swimmer and active participant at the Solon Recreation Center, she enjoyed staying engaged in her community. Sheila also loved her involvement with the Cleveland chapter of Na’amat USA. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, finding joy in spending time with her family.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Manny; children, Steven (Amy) Adler and Laura Koslen (Eric Dishler); grandchildren, Max and Evan Adler, Brooke (Nick) Vecchio, Michael (Cayla) Koslen, Dustin (Kelsey) Koslen; and great-grandchildren, Gabriela Vecchio, Sylvie, and Henry Koslen. She also leaves behind her sister, Joey Laidman and was the beloved daughter of the late Ted and Irene Kurtz. In addition, Sheila was a beloved aunt to many other family members.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 3rd at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olive Cemetery, 27855 Aurora Road, Solon, Ohio. A family gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
