Shirley G. Hoffman, 94, on February 26, 2014. Beloved mother of Rochelle Weintraub, Judith Hoffman, and Laura (Allan Bernbaum) Whitlock. Grandmother of Michael (Randi) Weintraub and Sydney Whitlock, great grandmother of Jack Weintraub. Preceded in death by husband Dr. Morris Hoffman and sister Ruth Sorkin. A medical technologist, Shirley was teaching director of the cytology lab at St. Luke's Hospital. She co-founded the Ohio Society of Cytology and served on the advisory board of the National Society of Cytology. She was inducted into the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame in the year 2000. Services will be held Wednesday March 5 at 1 PM at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Heights, OH. Interment Zion Memorial Park.
