Simon Wolfson

Simon Wolfson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and family member, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Born in Belarus in 1947 to David and Mira Wolfson, Simon earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and worked as an engineer by profession. In 1997, he immigrated to the United States, where he continued building a life centered on family, curiosity, and the things he loved.

Simon had a deep appreciation for the world around him. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading books, exploring science fiction, and spending time outdoors. An inquisitive mind with an engineer’s way of looking at the world, he found pleasure in learning, discovering new things, and appreciating the beauty of everyday life.

Above all, Simon cherished his family. His love and presence will be deeply missed by those who shared his life and treasured his companionship.

Simon is survived by his beloved wife, Svetlana; his daughter, Irina Wolfson, and her husband, Alex Philip; his son, Igor Grabovski; his sister, Anya Wolfson; his cousin, Sophia Diment; and his cherished grandchildren, Victoria Philip and Andrew Philip.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew and loved him.
