Dearest Sue, Gary, Maddy, & Larry,
Your dad was a one-of-a-kind man!  I lost my dad when I was 24. But when I met your dad, we had an instant like for each other. We all know how Sol liked his girls.  So, Sol became  my "dad" too.  How nice of you to share your dad and how lucky for me!  Sol's smile was always a day brightener for me. Also, Ray and I marveled at his ability to tell a joke with such finesse.  What a gift he had.  We should all be as good as he was at 99 years of age.  How impressive!  We truly enjoyed going out for dinner with you and your dad.  He was always such a sweetie and very generous too. Sol will always have a very special place in my heart!

dearest adler and friedman and spiezer family, how do i tell you how much i adored this man?  this handsome fun generous funny delicious man?  he made my heart skip a beat with his warmth and dirty jokes.  he could tell a story like a superstar and keep even me with my ADHD personality captivated in the moment.  i hope you all know that you were blessed to have such fabulous parents who made you the people you are today.  sue, you and i have so much in common....humor, writing, being care takers - and maddy...you being one of the closest friends i could ever hope to have in my ife.  two new york hipsters who settled in the midwest wondering how we got caught in the spinning house that landed us in oz...full of scarecrows tin men and people who do not think out of the box.  larry, i do not know you as well but think you are such a lovely man.  thank you all for letting me be part of your family and getting to share in the love of your parents.  lucky lucky me.  if your folks are anything like mine...they are up on a cloud right now eating great deli, listening to great music and fooling around with kisses and giggles.  love, debbie feller glassman  xxoo

Sol was very important in my life and I will miss him always.  His generousity and concern will be with me forever. I will love you and keep you in my heart.

I have so many wonderful memories of "Uncle Sol" and "Aunt Millie". Even though they were not actually blood relatives, they have been such a wonderful part of our lives (my family as well as my parents) that as long as I have known them, they were always aunt and uncle. I will never forget when my daughter, Heather, was born. We were living in NY then and I cannot begin to tell you how excited they were. They always treated my children as if they were their own grandchildren. When we decided to relocate to FL, who was there to help us out....Why Aunt Millie and Uncle Sol. They welcomed my husband in their home and insisted that he stay for as long as needed. My husband will never forget how Uncle Sol would wait up for him to come home to hear about his day's job pursuits, as well as to make sure he was home safe. Once we actually moved to FL, we saw them quite often, and shared in so many wonderful times together while they lived in Sarasota. I cannot even begin to tell you how devastated my parents were to hear of this sad news, as they always considered Millie and Sol to be their best friends. All I can say is I am so thankful God blessed my family with such wonderful people as Millie and Sol Adler.

Sol Adler was himself, a force of nature. He was loved by everyone he met and never failed to show a happy face and generous personality.  He was my new dad and I will miss him and his humor for the rest of my life.  My deepest regret and love to Susan, Maddie and Larry.  My heart is with you.

Dear Sue, Gary, and family,
Your Dad has been special to us for a very long time. We always loved being around him and going out to dine with him. Dan misses his joke partner a lot. I think he will save jokes for Sol for along time. I will miss the sweet smooches he always gave me. You all were very fortunate to have him for such a long special time.

It saddens me that our families lives so far apart from each other and then lose touch. I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Sol, Aunt Minnie, Maddy, Susan and Larry from my childhood.  My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Dear Susan, Maddy and Larry,

Some of my best childhood memories are of visiting your mom and dad--and all of you.

Uncle Sol was my favorite of all of the uncles. His wonderful, easy-going manner, great smile and sense of humor made him a delight to be around. All of that coupled with Aunt Millie's wonderful cooking and great zest for life, made your home such a welcoming place to be.

I will forever keep both of your parents in my heart and memories.

And, I will also hold the vision of Uncle Sol and Aunt Millie dancing with my little Sarah in their kitchen in Florida. What a blessing to have such amazing family...

There are not enough words to describe what my Uncle Sol meant to me. He has been a part of my life since I was a baby in the carriage--the day he came to date my Aunt Millie for the first time. Their wonderful union led to so many incredible times with all of you--times we will cherish and never forget.

And, when Mel and I married and had our own children--the wonderful times continued. Uncle Sol and Aunt Millie will live on forever in our memories.

I regret that I only met Saul four years ago. He is someone I wish I had known for decades.Knowing him fior four years was a gift. His wit--never without a joke. The kiss he woujld give  me when ever met up. , his  kindess . When you love someone as much as his children loved him 99 years are not enough.
