I just heard of Steve's tragic passing. He and my husband were friends in college and we had the pleasure of hosting him a few years ago here in Toledo. Wishing you peace as the first year without him comes to a close.

We were shocked to hear of Steve's tragic death. I will always remember him as generous and full of fun. May his memory be for a blessing.

My thoughts to the Zucker family we grew up right down the street from Steve and always remember him as a quiet easy going guy. He will be missed.

Steve and I have done business for years. There are very few people in the scrap industry that I liked or trusted....Steve was both. My heart is heavy this week...he will be missed greatly.

Steve was such a great person, Route 8 Auction will not be the same without Steve. He always was very cheerful and happy. His laughter and good heart will always remain with us. He was always there to lend a helping hand, wether to help pass out items or even with kitchen help, he was there to pitch in. "We love you Steve and are going to miss you so much" Number 18, but you were never a just a number with us.

Your son was such a fantastic person.  We had been friends for many years.  Our friendship began through business when Steve came to Erie and took over  Dave's business.  Steve eventually moved his business into a building my family owned.  We had such a great working relationship.  What a tragedy.  Our warm thoughts are with you and your family.

I work at PNC bank where Steve came in on a daily basis to do deposits. When I first started, he was kind of quiet. As time passed, I was lucky enough to get to know how genuine, funny, and kind he really was. His laughter got the whole branch laughing at times. It was so infectious. It is such a tragedy that something this unfortunate happens to such a great all around person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. 4pm at the bank will never be the same again without his smile...

My heartfelt sympathy to Steve's entire family. Stevie or"Tanner" as I nicknamed him, have been friends for a very long time. Many friday & saturdays after auctions,he would stop by to see me and have a"Mick Light" and shoot some pool. Stevie was an AWESOME pool player,
We would talk for hours about his love for Ohio State , Cleveland Browns and  the Indians. He always teased me because I was the "odd team"- Miami Dolphins(and love for Dan Marino). There wasn't a conversation we had that he wouldn't mention his family espically his nieces and nephews, espically when he was going home to Cleveland to one of their next events.Stevie always had a smile on his face and a laugh that was contagious. I will truly miss his friendship and all of our talks. Now it will be me rooting for your teams!!!!Love Theresa

   Steve was a very good friend & a great landlord.  He was a very caring person.  I had medical problems a couple years back & when he came here he always asked how I was feeling & if I am still cancer free.  He loved his family very much.  He would always talk to us about his family.  He always had either a joke or something funny to talk about.  We never had a landlord that would talk to you about anything or that was so caring. Steve was such a kind man and so generous with his time. Fourth of July will never be the same - without the chants from kids and adults for "Stevo, Stevo" to entertain us with his fireworks display. My sympathies to his family who I had the pleasure of meeting at Passover. He will forever remain in the hearts of all his friends here on Wood Street.

Steve, you were the best friend a girl could ever have. I love you so much. Nothing about camp, pool, nights out, and the firework parties will ever be the same again. Ron and the boys and I have been extremely close to you for years and have never had a truer friend in our lives that gave so much and never asked for anything in return.Steve we love yo and nothing can ever or will ever change that. I met Steve for the first-time this Pesach.  He opened his home to many people and even those of us who just met him, we felt right at home.. He will be missed greatly and may his memory be for a blessing.

Stevo was a giving person.  A quiet, loving person.  Sometimes the neighborhood families would get him to come out of his shell--and We would all enjoy it!! Thank you Steve for the fun memories, lending a hand when in need, and for sharing your family and Passovers with us all.

Our deepest sympathies to the Zucker family. Stevo brought an instant smile to everyones face. He was a VERY kind hearted man who will be missed dearly by all. His  Wood street family will cherish the many wonderful memories.

Stevo (As we called him) was a great guy. Always came around, stopped by to say hi in his car. Always very friendly, giving and was alot of fun. He was the KING OF FIREWORKS in our neighborhood in Erie. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone, ever. He opened his house to so many of us and was a very giving man.

This was such a horrible, horrible accident. I wish it never happened.
