Steve was one of my dear POHR buddies.  We bonded immediately over our shared Cleveland-Cincinnati connection, and shared many, many laughs and smiles.  I am blessed to have crossed paths with this wonderful, happy, kind soul.  You'll be missed, my friend.

I have just learned of Steve's death. The shock and the loss are devastating.  He was such a wonderful man, and such a treasured friend.  I wish peace of mind, and a return of happiness to the hearts of his family and all who loved him, as I know he would wish for them.

Steve's gentle smile . . . his friendly encouraging words  . . .  and always,  his eagerness to help - all the very essence of POHR!   Steve will truly be missed.  Barb, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I truly enjoyed all my experiences with Steve. A kinder more gentle giant doesn't exist. Always willing to help out. He made my Pan Ohio annual ride so much more enjoyable. Always a smile. Will be missed so much! Spanky

Steve was a valued colleague and friend.  He was always eager to offer a smile and a kind word.  We worked together on many challenges to which he was just a blessing to engage with.  Our world was most definitely brighter with him in it.  He will be deeply missed.

Steve was one of the most selfless individuals I've ever met.  His spirit will live on with every Pan Ohio rider whose life he touched!

I can't remember a time when Steve was not smiling. When working on difficult situations at work, Steve's smile would help lighten the mood. On Thursday Aug 18th, Steve and I got a chance for an extended chat. We talked about the Pan Ohio Hope Ride and my upcoming Ironman race that Sunday. Out of the blue Steve said "I'm not doing anything Sunday, I'll come watch you.". Steve didn't get to watch but knowing that he offered was on my mind during the race and it helped me get through. 
Steve will be missed by many but his smile and friendly, caring nature will live on and help many.

I have worked with Steve for almost 3 years.  He always had a smile on his face.  He was a hard worker and brought a lot of cheer to out floor. He was the grandfather of our unit.  We always had a funny saying together, "winter is coming", from Game of Thrones because I watched the show and he was a fan as well too.  Winter came for my friend/co-worker...it came too early. I will miss saying that to him and he always said it to me as my beard was getting pretty grey too, lol.  I will see you again my friend.

Steve was always one of the happiest people at the office, it's hard to believe he won't be here anymore. He will be sorely missed, my condolences to your family.

As a member of the support team for the Pan Ohio your guidance and organization helped make the event a pleasure to work on.  Your presence will be missed and help and insight can never be replaced.
