Sylvia Sobul

(June 5, 1930 – May 9, 2026)

Sylvia Sobul passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on June 5, 1930, to the late Maney and Rose Turk, Sylvia lived a life centered on love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.

A wonderful mother and the epitome of kindness, Sylvia was deeply devoted to those she loved. She was a compassionate caregiver to her parents and to her beloved late husband, Armond Sobul. Her warmth, generosity, and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Sylvia leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Marc Sobul, Laurie Allen-Key (Richard), and Barbara Bowman (Dennis); her sister, Estelle Masello; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Armond Sobul; her sister, Shirley Lewis (Donny); and her brother-in-law, Chuck Masello.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery.
