My parents, of blessed memory,  were friends with the Laidmans.
I remember them well!

Mrs. Laidman, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Laidman's passing. I will be praying for comfort in the days and months ahead.
My favorite memory with Mr. Laidman occurred about 16-17 or so years ago. Scott and Robin were hosting a birthday party for Alex, I think she was turning 4 maybe? The party was at an indoor inflatable bounce house. As we arrived I walked over to greet Mr. Laidman  by saying "Hello Mr. Laidman". he stopped me and said, "Lenny, how long have I known you? You are an adult now married with kids and a house, you can call me Ted." I thought for a moment and said no  Sir, I was raised to always respect my elders and I respect you so if you don't mind, because of my respect for you I will always refer to you as Mr. Laidman." He just laughed and gave his approval. I have shared this story countless times with so many young people hoping they understand that being respectful is always the right thing to do.

My deepest condolences to you, Eve, and to the rest of the family, all the sons and daughters and grandkids. Although I never met most of you, I knew a lot about you all, because Ted would call me regularly to brag about all of you, most recently just a few short weeks ago. I knew Ted for nearly 70 years. We hung out constantly through high school and beyond, until I moved to Boston in 1961, but we never lost touch. And during all that time, we never set foot in the living room of his parents' house (we did sneak in on occasion) because that room was "reserved for company." I always found that amusing. I have very fond memories of Ted, of Barry, and of the family!

Very sorry for your loss.  I didn't know Ted very well but got to know him through the Romeo's.  He will be missed.

another one of the class of 57.  ted was quite a good friend.  well liked and appreciated by his fellow students.  my condolences to the family and friends

My favorite memories of Papa were sitting and watching his old Wild West movies, Emerald cooking, or some other action movie. He was always such a jokester telling us on our birthdays that he got a lot of presents or finding a way to tease us. I’ll especially miss how much he would brag about our accomplishments to anyone who would listen.  I love you Papa.
