June 25, 1959 – May 12, 2025 Thomas Parks passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Hillcrest Hospital, with his beloved family by his side. He was 65 years old. Born on June 25, 1959, to John and Norma Parks, Thomas lived a life defined by kindness, service, and a deep devotion to family and community. He was a proud member of Fairmont Temple, now Mishkan Or, where his dedication as a volunteer was felt deeply by all who knew him. Whether greeting worshippers at the door during the High Holidays, helping organize the Purim celebrations, or placing flags at the cemetery for Memorial Day, Thomas gave generously of his time and spirit. In 2011, he was honored with the President’s Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions. A lifelong disc golf enthusiast, Thomas brought joy and playfulness to those around him, often seen with a frisbee in hand and a smile on his face. He loved old fashioned cars and was a believer in big foot Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Lori, and their cherished daughters, Jessica and Jordon Parks. He also leaves behind his loving sister, Barbara Parks, and his adored nieces, Opel and Lily Parks. His loyal canine companions, Sheldon, and his “grand-dogs,” MacGyver, Piper, and Parker, were constant sources of comfort and joy in his life. A memorial service to celebrate Thomas’s life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118. Thomas will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his generous heart, unwavering dedication, and the love he shared so freely.
