Alecia Michael Ferguson

June 29, 1982October 25, 2019

Alecia M. Ferguson was born on June 29, 1982 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the only child of Barbara Witcher and Michael Ferguson. On Friday, October 25, 2019, Alecia was called to be with the Lord.

Alecia accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was raised in the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she continued her personal relationship with Christ. She also attended Starlight Baptist Church as a child.

Alecia attended the East Cleveland School system and graduated in 2000 from Shaw High School.

Alecia was a loving family member and friend. She always extended her hand to anyone in their time of need. She was loved by everyone in which she came in contact. For Alecia, your problems were her problems. She frequently checked on those she cared for and always sent them to kind and uplifting words.

Alecia devoted her life to caring for others. She worked as a Nanny for many years. She was committed to loving and nurturing the children of the Uher, Sullivan and Dachner families. In addition to the life of her own son these children brought her personal joy. More recently she entered a new careerat Ford Motor Company. She was excited to explore her new pathway.

Presentation was important to Alecia. She was a fashionista with an abundance of style. Ralph Lauren was her favorite designer. She made sure her, and her only son were ALWAYS well dressed She absolutely loved listening to Jay Z, TI and the No Limit family – especially Soulja Slim. So much so that, New Orleans was her home away from home.

Alecia was raised by her late grandparents Jacqueline M. Witcher and grandfather Wesley Witcher. Jacqueline and Wesley were committed to ensuring Alecia was raised with love, faith, and integrity. She was also preceded in death by her great grandmother Bessie Williams, grandfather Jewel Ferguson and uncle Frank Witcher. Sadly, her aunt Deborah Ferguson passed away 3 days after Alecia’s unexpected death.

Alecia leaves to cherish her loving son Braylon Hayes, mother, Barbara Witcher; father Michael Ferguson (Suge); grandmother Earlene Ferguson; aunts, Sheila Howard, Aaqilah al-Amin and Sharon Jackson; uncles, Jewel, Shannon, Kenneth (Fonda) and Lamar Ferguson. Alecia was a faithful godmother to Micah Sparks and Standford Proffett III. She was the “EPITOME” of a godparent. She spared no cost when it came to caring and providing for them. She made sure that they were always provided for adequately. Friendship was something that Alecia held to a high standard and in this lifetime, she made several genuine bonds. No bond can be compared to the one she had with her best friend of 30 years, Crystal Bryant. She leaves behind a host of family and friends. She will be truly missed by everyone she encountered

You were my little angel... You were my little sister, my niece, my cousin and my friend. I am blessed that I had you in my life whether it was us together or us living 1000 miles apart. My fondest memories of you were strolling you around as a toddler, doing your hair and when you were old enough you were my road dog. When there was no one there you were. Throughout your life, you have always loved and gave unconditionally. You were such a beautiful soul. There is so much more I want to say to you but you know... My heart is warm because the last thing you heard me say what is that I loved you.

My lil angel you have wings now. May you watch over Braylon and us all.

Love you always, Lee-Lee
