Audrey Christine Dillard

Audrey (Chris) as she was known to friends and family was the eldest of nine children born to Bordie and Allie Porter (deceased). She is survived by daughter’s Gaybella Horton and Althea Whatley, son Christopher Porter, sisters Brenda Brooks, Carolyn Osborn, Florence Porter, Elaine Jones and brothers Norman Porter and Milton Porter. Sister Eileen Porter and brother Bruce Porter are deceased. She is also survived by many grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Chris like to entertain friends and family at her home by cooking delicious meals and her late husband Paul playing jazz and rhythm and blues music from his compilation of hit records and recordings. She and Paul loved to go out to their favorite lounge bars and enjoy themselves among friends.

Chris had a quiet demeanor but could be feisty on occasions when she felt the need. She worked at several small companies during her working years until she retired after Paul past in 2003.

Chris was in poor health the past few years and finally succumbed to her illness.

A wake for Audrey will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, OH 44112, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
