Christine Mallett

Christine Mallett came from humble beginnings, born in Largo, MD, on July 10, 1941, and grew up in a little shack with dirt floors and a goat for company. From those simple beginnings, she built something far greater than anything money could buy: a family filled with love, laughter, memories, and a legacy that will live on for generations.

Christine was a devoted wife, mom, grandma/granny, and great-grandma, and her family was the greatest joy of her life. She loved every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild with her whole heart. She had a way of making each person feel special and loved.

Christine had many passions that made her unique. She was the #1 superfan of the Cleveland Cavaliers, cheering them on with all the enthusiasm and loyalty of a true fan. She loved to cook, and her kitchen was a place where food was plentiful, and love was always one of the main ingredients. She loved sitting on her porch, enjoying the simple pleasure of watching the world go by. She loved to read, escaping into the pages of a good book and finding comfort and joy in stories.

But above everything else, she loved her family. The life she built, the people she raised, and the generations that followed were her greatest accomplishment and her proudest legacy.

Though she is no longer sitting on her porch, cheering for her Cavs, cooking enough food for everyone, or holding her loved ones close, her presence will remain in the countless memories she created. She lives on in every family gathering, every favorite recipe, every story told, every Cavaliers game watched, and most of all, in the hearts of the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren she loved so completely.

Her life began with very little, but she leaves behind an abundance of something far more precious: love. And that love will carry her family forward for generations to come. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her brothers, Wilbur and Doug; her sister, Franny; and her parents, William and Pauline. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Jeff), Bil (Pat), Val (Bill), Pam, and Jennifer; 9 grandchildren, Geoff (Stephanie), Brandon (Nicole), Ashleigh (Nick), Emily, Joseph (Bre), Heather, Gabe, Zach, and William; and 14 great-grandchildren, Victoria, Logan, Cassie, Gracie, Vivian, Jayde, Brianna, Gavin, Lyla, Sophia, Ethan, Maya, CeCe, and Olivia. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Harold; nieces and nephews, Pili, Barbara, Karen, Joe, and Doug; and many friends who loved her dearly.

Family will receive friends Saturday August 29th from 5 - 7 pm with a sharing of memories at 6:30 pm at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home 14768 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, 44111. Burial will be private.
