It will soon be a year that Chris left his earthly life with his family and friends. He left us with so many funny, and happy memories. He is so missed! His love continues to bless us... I guess it always will. What a great brother! Love, "the other girl"

To the Fitzpatrick family on the loss of their dear brother Christopher John. 
Your mom always said Chris was an angel living in our midst and now the good Lord has called one of his angels home to be with Mother and Father.  They would be extremely proud of how the extended family cared for Chris' needs throughout his life. We are also in awe of your efforts under difficult circumstances.
 It is well known in the Fitzpatrick and Melle families that Chris called me Malfo, his enduring way of saying Melvin which I always enjoyed. Other memories of Chris are many, playing with him as a youngster on E.146, remembering his school days, his various jobs, his dancing at family weddings, his participation in family picnics, his visits to our home in Cleveland and Dallas and of course his many, many imaginary stories. However, the lives that he touched is a real story.

Our deepest sympathy to the Fitzpatrick Family. My memory of Chris was when I was a sophomore at Villa Angela and we were required to do community service for that year. I chose to go to Brett Elementary school in Cleveland .I was given the task of  helping out in the downs syndrome  class. To my surprise one of the students that I had to help was Chris! I recall the look on his face when he saw it was me!  I can still picture him sitting at his desk!!! Chris it was my pleasure to be a part of your wonderful life. Now its your turn to rest~~`

Growing up with Chris was great fun and such a positive influence in my life.  He taught me how to disco dance and had me practiced for hours!  We made a play space from bunk beds and blankets, and played house and school and Chris graciously played whatever role we asked. Never a quitter. I tell my family stories about playing at the Fitzpatrick house with Chris and Susan all the time; they feel like they know him through my stories.  Thank you Chris for teaching me to love life.  God be with you.  To the Firzpatrick family, my prayers are with you.

Deepest Sympathy to the whole Fitzpatrick family.  Chris was fortunate to have all of you taking care of him and now you have your special angel in heaven to watch over all of you.

Hearing of Chris's passing saddened our entire family -even our girls who were quite young when they last spent time in his presence recall the time with great affection. He had that kind of effect on everyone he met-I guess we don't have to tell you.  He lived his life as a great example to all of us-as he carried a heavy cross of his own but shed no tear or became angry or upset-he simply carried it and always with a smile -a smile so deep and genuine it leaves an indelible mark upon us all. 
May God shower your future with Blessings as no doubt Chris will insist upon!

Christopher was such a unique beautiful soul. In the short time I knew and cared for him he touched my heart with his laugh, jokes, and all around greatness. My deepest condolences to the whole Fitzpatrick family. He'll live in your hearts forever.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Chris' passing. I have many wonderful memories of times spent growing up with Chris. He was always energetic, playful, quick to laugh, and determined to do what he wanted...some might even say stubborn at times! I can remember times when I thought he was being serious, only to see him smile and realize that he was teasing. I am grateful for the many years that he was here with us and am glad to know him as a friend. He will be missed by his family and all of those who shared in his special life. God bless you Chris...I know you are with your Mom and Dad who loved you very much. Go Irish!

How lucky we have been in Chris' extended family to have met and have laughed, and loved and been loved in such a magnificent and extraordinary way. Chris never met a woman he didn't charm, a guy he couldn't out wrestle, dance, or out talk, a child he could not relate to, Chris never met a stranger. He lived independently with adventure and curiosity, was a thoughtful and obedient son, and loving brother. He may very well be the best of what the Fitzpatrick Clan is about - having been loved unconditionally, a tribute to his parents and siblings, a joy to those who knew him, an inspiration to those who  heard about him, and a gift to those who prayed for a saint or angel and came across his path.
