Tragedy struck them in 1940 when Stewart died in a coal mining accident, leaving his mother Bertha to raise several children by herself - Curtis and his siblings Nelma, Robert, Henry and Irene. Soon thereafter his brother Henry drowned and they lost their house to a fire. Curtis graduated from East Bank High School with Loretta Kirk whom he married in 1956. He served in the Marines Corps. Curtis and Loretta were married for 68 years and have two sons Curtis Jr. and Randall. Curtis worked in metal fabrication and truck driving. He enjoyed playing golf. Curtis is survived by his wife Loretta, his two sons, two grandchildren Jonathan Milton and Rebecca Henderson, and a great-granddaughter Hannah Milton.
A Committal Service for Curtis will be held on Wednesday May 7, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Rd, Avon, OH 44011.
