Daniel Wayne Miller, 58, passed away on October 7, 2026. Born September 28, 1968, Daniel lived with a steady, openhearted presence—someone whose devotion ran deep, whose honesty came plainly, and whose kindness was never performative, but quietly lived. Though words can only reach so far, they can still trace the outline of a man who was deeply cherished and dearly missed.
A resident of LaGrange, Ohio, Daniel moved through life with courage and curiosity. He carried an adventurous spirit—drawn to the road, to new places, to the simple freedom of riding his Harley—and yet he was equally at home in the closeness of conversation, where his thoughtful nature shone. He loved to read and to talk, not to fill silence, but to make room for people: their experiences, their hopes, their histories. He listened with the kind of attention that made others feel seen, always searching for the good, and often finding it.
Daniel’s mind was a wide horizon. He loved learning—about religions, history, and English—and he approached the world with a brave willingness to understand it more fully. That same spirit carried into the friendships he formed through online video games, where he connected with people across the globe. Loyal to those he loved and devoted to those entrusted to his care, he had a way of bringing warmth into everyday moments. And threaded through it all was his humor—steady, human, and timely—offering lightness without ever losing sincerity.
He was married to Sheila Miller for 31 years, and more than anything, Daniel loved his wife. Their bond was the heart of his life, a constant note of devotion that shaped the way he loved his family and met the world. He was a loving father of Christopher Wallace, Selena Miller, and Samantha Miller, and a beloved grandfather of Rose, Mirabella, Oscar, Lilith, and Melody. He was a wonderful brother of Michael Miller, and half-sisters Dawn Dewey and Shelli Fritz, and a wonderful uncle to many.
Daniel also found joy in the comforts that gather people together—cooking, traveling, and the easy grace of shared time. In all of it, he remained what he had always been: kind-hearted, thoughtful, and true—someone who stayed loyal, who showed up, who cared. His legacy lives in the stories he asked for, the goodness he insisted on seeing, and the love he gave so faithfully.
Visitation will be held at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102, on October 16, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
In remembering Daniel, may those who loved him carry forward what he so naturally offered: a steadier kindness, a braver curiosity, and a gentler way of seeing one another.
