

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Paul Timko, a beloved figure of both his family, friends as well as his community. Daniel passed away peacefully on August 18, 2023, surrounded by his family. Daniel leaves behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on December 9th 1966, to his beloved parents Anthony S. Timko Sr. and Aurora Becerra Timko. Daniel was the loving husband of Mary (nee Spremulli) who preceded him in death on October 5th, 2013; cherished father of Morgan Major and Daniel Jordan Timko; dear brother of Anthony Timko Jr., Aurora Dillinger, Michelle (Rich) Jarvis and Alyssa Timko; adored uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
Dan’s life was a remarkable journey filled with dedication, passion, and a commitment to serving others. He was a man of many accomplishments, touching lives and making a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
His influence was felt most profoundly within the realm of education. Daniel graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in 1985. The brotherhood Daniel made during his time at Saint Ignatius left a lasting impact on his life. He went on to attend Ohio University where he met more of his lifelong friends. He graduated from Ohio University in 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in English as well as a teaching certificate. Daniel took the utmost pride in his career as a teacher where he dedicated his time to his students whom he loved and cherished.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 25th, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 26th at 10AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 6928 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland.
