David E. Jerome

David Ervin Jerome, age 75. Passed peacefully surrounded by family on March 24, 2025, at the age of 75. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl, his loving 4 daughters, Amy Jerome (Trevor Heidenreich), Beth Jerome, Becky Jerome (Mark Franko), and Rachel Jerome (Erik Kallevig), and his 10 grandchildren, Abbey, Sophie, and Evie Heidenreich; Tessa and Miranda Burgstaller; Olivia, Alex, and Phoebe Franko; Teddy and Jewelle Kallevig. He was predeceased by his parents, Kathryn Smith Jerome and Ervin Roland Jerome, his brother, Richard Davis, his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Donald Neuman.

The majority of David’s career was spent working as an Investment Manager at Alliance Capital Management/Alliance Bernstein. He was very dedicated to people and relationships. His focus on clients and colleagues alike formed bonds that endured long beyond his professional career. David was deeply committed to the University Hospitals Health System for over a decade, serving as the Chair and Board Member of both Richmond Hospital and UH Regional Hospitals. David contributed as a Board Representative on the UH Regional Hospitals Quality and Professional Affairs Committee, always advocating for exceptional patient care. His dedication to the mission of University Hospitals reflected his kindness, generosity, and desire to make a meaningful impact on health care.

His passions were reading, gardening, and golf. David will be remembered by his closest friends for his unwavering loyalty and his accepting, caring nature. He was a man of wisdom, generosity, and bedrock values. David had a gift for keeping strong the ties that bind old friends. He was dearly loved by many and will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
