He was born in Cleveland, the son of the late Edward Korkan and Barbara Stavnicky Karn and step-son of David Karn; loving brother of Darlene Korkan, Edward Korkan and his twin, Douglas (Barbara) Korkan; adored uncle of Joshua Moye, Malena Korkan and great-uncle of Shane, Elyana and Mason Moye; step-brother of David (Natalie) Karn and Anthony Karn; dear nephew of Patricia (Eddie) Gorisek, Kenneth (Barbara) Stavnicky, Diane (Richard) Waddell, Betty (Scott) Hale and Janice (Les) Gregg; cousin and friend of many.
David's passion and dream of being a chef led him to the hospitality industry and his love of roller coasters brought him to his career at Cedar Point. He had an eye for decorating and a love of gardening with his mother. Anything with the outdoors gave him joy, but his family was where his heart and soul were, appreciating all of the memories and time they spent together. He had a caring nature and will be remembered as one to always lend a hand to a friend or anyone in need. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 1PM-4PM with a funeral service at 4PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 14768 Lorain Ave., Cleveland. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park will be held at a later date.
