Dorothy June Kelly was born August 9, 1932, to William and Everlyn Bennett in Martin, TN. She graduated from Weakly County High in 1950, and in 1954 matriculated with a BS degree in home economics from Tennessee State University, Nashville. Upon graduation Dorothy moved to Cleveland Ohio where she soon met and married Edward Kelly. The marriage lasted 57 years before Edward’s passing in 2011. Dorothy was blessed with four daughters, four son-in-law’s, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mrs. Kelly worked for over 50 years in the food service industry working for the Cleveland Public School System, Oakwood Country Club as well as her own private catering business. Dorothy passed September 16, 2026.
Visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, 4:00- 6:00 pm, at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue East Cleveland, OH 44112
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Kelly will be Saturday, September 26, 2026, 10:30 am wake, 11:00 am service, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 7901 Quincy Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44104.
