FERMIN “MINGO” RIVERA, AGE 88, PASSED AWAY Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Beloved husband of Marcelina Santos; loving father of Fermin Rivera Jr, Robert Rivera, Orlando Rivera (Virginia) and the late Victor Rivera (Ada, also deceased) and Carlos (Rosie Rivera); grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 12; great great grandfather of 1; brother of the late Jaime, Victor, Carlos, and Robert; uncle of many.
Mingo retired as a Truck Driver after 35 Years from Central Electric in New York City. He was a life long member of Electrical Union, local 3 IBEW. After graduating from High school in Puerto Rico, Mingo wanted to be a Pilot. After taking a few lessons he figured out the cost and changed to truck driving and supported his family in that profession.
Mingo was an avid bowler and later in life he loved going to casinos. Mingo loved boxing and any time he could watch it he was there. When growing up He did a little boxing and weightlifting Himself. Mingo was also the family photographer, always taking pictures and videos at all the family functions.
Come celebrate Fermin’s life Friday August 29, from 4-8pm in the Corrigan Craciun Funeral home, 14768 Lorain Ave. Cleveland, OH. Mass of Christian burial Saturday, August 30, at 10am in La Sagrada Familia Parish, 7719 Detroit Ave. Cleveland, OH. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
