

Our Loving mother, sister, daughter, and Friend, Gloria L. Foster, 76, unexpectedly passed away on June 15, 2024, surrounded by many loving family members.
Gloria, born to Isabel and James Foster on September 21, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio. A member of the catholic church from a very young age, Gloria participated in many activities at Holy Spirit Catholic Church alongside her family in Christ. She attended John Hay High School and was among one of the last classes to be known as the Bookkeepers. While in school, she realized her passion for writing and words.
After graduation, Gloria went on to become a Journalist with the Call and Post having an illustrious career that spanned over 50 years as well as an employee for the City of Cleveland Clerk of Courts.
Gloria was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others and was an integral part of Holy Spirit and St. Adelbert Catholic Church. A loyal servant to God, Gloria spent many of her hours dedicating her life to making a joyful noise unto the lord as apart of the choir. Now that Gloria has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Gloria’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.
Gloria joins her parents, Isabel and James Foster; daughter, Kasey Foster; sister, Diane Collins; nephews, Donald Komora Jr. and Darryck Collins in Heaven. Gloria is survived by many loving family members, including her daughter, Mardwena (Perry) Cameron; nieces, Darla Komora and Denisia Collins; grandchildren, Shalia (Shanetta) Shirley-McNair, Leslie Shirley, and Eddie McClain; and a host of “Aunt GoGo's” nieces and nephews; and great grandchildren to honor and carry on her memory.
