Ingrid Meinecke

Ingrid was preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Mary Chapman and Irene Rosati. She has 1 brother, John (Nancy) Ostrowsky of Westlake, OH.

Ingrid was the proud mother to her 3 children Robert (Karrie) Meinecke of Cleveland, OH, Elona (Beorn) Teske of Gold Bar, WA, and Richard Meinecke of Chandler, AZ. Grandmother "Omi" to Joanne Obrzut-Bush, Orion Johnson, Amanda Johnson, and Justin, Logan, Trevor, and Casey Meinecke. Great Grandmother "Omi" to Nova Johnson and Winona Eidson.

Ingrid was born in Allenbostell, Germany on July 15, 1935. She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1950. She and Mangold married in 1955. Ingrid enjoyed music throughout her life. Some of her fondest memories were of playing guitar during family gatherings and singing Ukrainian folk songs. She also enjoyed playing the accordion, organ and harmonica.

Among Ingrid's other interests were painting, sketch art and crocheting, sharing her many afghans with those she loved and others in the United States and other parts of the world. Most recently, along with crocheting, Ingrid would begin her day on the computer with the greeting, "Good Morning, America", on Facebook.

A visitation for Ingrid will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44102.
