

James “Jimi” Francisco Aquino left us on December 4, 2016, with his family by his side. Jimi was born on April 14, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio to Isaias and Ines Aquino. Jimi was a devoted son and cared for his beloved Mother until her passing. Jimi had seven siblings, Maria (Mingo) Carrero, Ivan, Dennis, Robert, Edward (Jocelyn), and Cookie. Jimi adored his only son, Francisco “Frank” Aquino, daughter in law, Kara and two grandchildren Nathaniel and Norah. Jimi was so proud to be the uncle of 14 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews. He loved them dearly. For 25 years Jimi played the role of the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus for hospitalized children, for the Spanish American Day Care Center and for senior citizens. He didn’t want any child to be without a present for Christmas. Jimi enjoyed family, friends bowling, travel, collecting and music. Jimi was a gifted carpenter and the maintenance director at The Clifton Plaza Apartments. He cared deeply for his residents. Jimi cared deeply for all.
