I wish to extend my sympathy to Jeremy's family and friends. Jeremy was in my fifth grade classroom, and he was a bright, motivated, entertaining young man. His smile was infectious, ever-present, and heart-warming. Jeremy was a model student, full of curiosity and determination; he maintained his zest for life and learning, even when he wasn't feeling well. I remember his wit and fun sense of humor. It was my sincere pleasure knowing Jeremy. I see that he became an accomplished adult, positively affecting those who had the privilege of interacting with him, just as I had expected. Rest in peace, Jeremy, knowing that you impacted many lives on your too-brief journey through this life. May your family and friends relish the memories you created.

I will miss you my friend, I have truly appreciated the 20+ years that I had spent with you, and our friends, at the IEPA. I have fond memories of conversations about work, science, philosophy, politics, photography, and sports. As big Chicago fans, we have had some good years, some not so good years, and a few great years. I am so glad that we were able to share in the three Blackhawk Stanley Cup Championship seasons and of course the Cubs’ 2016 WS win! I remember taking you to Champaign the year that the Bears were playing there. We went to the first game of the season where the Bears beat the Vikings and it was at least 102 degrees on the field. At some point during the game you decided it was time to give the surrounding crowd the gun-show so off came the shirt. By the end of the game we were half-baked and sunburned as well. It was always like that with you…you were always fun to be around as you could make others relax and laugh. To all your family, I am so sorry for your loss, but please know that we were all richer for knowing him. RIP my friend.

I worked with Jeremy over 20 years at the IEPA, much of that time in the same room. Jeremy was like my work brother. We collaborated, we cajoled, we snarked. We had plans and chapters yet unwritten. I learned a lot from him in our time tackling the business together. I will always remember his indomitable spirit. I am going to miss the back and forth conversations with him, especially those when he knew he was wrong but still argued that he was right. To Jeremy's family, I am so sorry for this loss. For Jeremy, 'May the stars guide you, traveler.'

Tim and I send our Love and Prayers to all. I’m so sorry, but I celebrate His Living. I know wasn’t around all the time, but when I was he had that huge loving smile! So full of life and stories about what he was doing or something new on the horizon! That is how I’ll always remember Him! GOD Bless and touch you all!

My heartfelt condolences to Jeremy's family. He made every day a little brighter with his sharp wit and humor. We miss him terribly but remember him fondly. On the day this photo was taken he was demonstrating his displeasure with the conference room temperature. Classic.

Jeremy was such a inspiration. He had a smile that would light up the room. I remember him coming by my office at the University of Illinois Springfield when he was taking classes. I always enjoyed seeing him. He was a great person (even though he is a Chicago Cubs fan I will let it slide ;-) )

I'm very saddened by Jeremy's passing. My daughter Anna Goodner Doyle was his classmate and friend in Glenwood schools in Chatham. Jeremy was a former colleague of mine at Illinois EPA, and a friend. He was a great guy and a true professional in his career. Many great memories. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIP Jeremy. You deserve it.

I send my deepest sympathies for your loss. Jeremy was such and amazing guy. My years of fond memories of Jeremy go all the way back to jr. high. From hanging out in the jr. high chorus room to studying for Mr. Lanning's biology tests, Jeremy was always sharper than a whip, both in his studies and with his wit and great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
