It is with tremendous sadness that we mourn the passing of Jewelina Jones.

Jewelina was special to so many of us, not the least of which are the team in the Vice President’s Office at Case Western Reserve University where she worked for many years. For her colleagues and our students and guests, she made the place warm and welcoming.. She brought kindness, humor, and genuine care to everything she did.

Her positive and welcoming presence extended well beyond our office. Students who came through our doors were greeted with the same warmth and kindness that she shared with her colleagues. Jewelina had a wonderful way of making people feel comfortable, valued, and seen.

We will deeply miss her smile, her spirit, and the many moments that made having Jewelina as part of our community so special. Her absence is felt throughout Case Western Reserve University.

We are grateful for the time we had with her and for the many lives she touched. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jewelina’s family, friends, and all who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
