Joann Thrasher

JoAnn was born on July 8, 1955, in Montgomery, AL to Deatrice and Joe Thrasher. JoAnn was the fifth

child of six children. Her sister Katie preceded her in death. JoAnn moved to Chicago in her late teenage years, where she finished school and started her career working with children (her passion).

JoAnn later moved to Euclid in the late 1990’s where she continued to work with children at CEOGC

Headstart for 20+ years and resided in Euclid until she was called Home. JoAnn loved socializing with family and friends, doing her crossword puzzles and spending time with her great-grandchildren on the weekend. JoAnn was called home on Monday, March 11, 2024. She was loved by many far and near and will be missed tremendously. She was a strong woman and so kind hearted.

She leaves behind her only son (Travis), only granddaughter (Davacha), five great-grandchildren; Aniyah, De’Mari, Amari, Ri’Yah & Richard, one sister; Bertha, three brothers; Joe, Alford, and Alphonso, and many others whom she loved dearly!
