Joyce was affectionately known as Mama Joyce for her take charge of everything personality.
Joyce first marriage to Arvin C Ladiner which ended in his demise in February 1968. Later, she met and married Edward Dixon who passed away 2017.
Joyce held many meaningful positions within the United States Postal system of which her long term employment lasted until October 1992 when she retired.
Joyce was an avid bowler for many years winning numerous awards and trophies. She also enjoyed gambling on occasions. Travel was also a great pastime. When she was able, cooking and exploring recipes were her pastime.
Joyce loved and cared for her two granddaughters Samere (Punkin) and Kailynne. Great granddaughter Ameera.
Joyce was preceded in death by brothers Willie, Samuel, James (Jimmy), Fewick, Arnold, Kenneth. Sister Marilyn (Jean). Daughter Dion (Pooh)Dixon Walton.
She leaves to mourn daughter Jenise (Peaches); granddaughters Samere (Punkin); adopted sons Anthony (Tony) Delarge (Pamela) Anthony Bowdrie and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special treasured friends, Rhonda Saunders, Rhonda Kincaid, Shirley Gholston and Angela Collins were very special people in Joyce’s life.
