OBITUARY

Julio "Cletito" Rivas

March 8, 1950January 23, 2020

Julio “Cletito” Rivas was born March 8th, 1950 to the late Anacleto Rivas and Jesusa Vazquez in Patillas, Puerto Rico.

Julio moved from Puerto Rico to Chicago, IL in the early 1970s where he met his Chalesita of 42 years, Aciades "Chale" Cortes. That union brought two wonderful children, Julio and Mayra; who were the pride and joy of his life. In the early 1980s, Julio and Chale moved their family to Cleveland, Ohio where Chale was originally from. In 1990, Julio and Chale bought their first family home. Julio worked at Presrite Corp Manufacturing for 25 years where he never missed a day of work.

In 2003, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior and was baptized. Julio loved the Lord and served him passionately. He later became the Co-Pastor of Transformation Christian Church. He had a heart for the youth and always prayed for them.

Julio enjoyed his grandchildren, who he loved dearly. He spent as much time with them daily, attended events and often vacationed as a family. Nothing was more important to him than watching them grow as children, progressing as students, becoming productive adults, and their acceptance of Jesus Christ.

Julio is survived by his loving wife Aciades, Son Julio (Miranda), Daughter Mayra Jackson (Jamah), Grand Children, Julio, Justin, Alicia, Mariah, Alonah, Cierrah, and Ava. He was blessed with siblings Santos, Lydia, Jose (deceased), Norberto, Wilfredo, Victorina, Rosalia, Sara Ivette, and Carmen. He leaves behind several Sister-In-laws, Brother-In-Laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
