Above all else, Kenneth was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a dear friend to so many. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Nancy (nee Lampert), with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was the loving father of Karen Calala, Kenneth Latkovic (Helen), David Latkovic (Jen), Diane Johnson (Colin), and Kristen Wallace (Wayne). He was the proud and cherished grandfather of Matthew Latkovic, Jareth Calala, Jack Latkovic, Ben Latkovic, Charlie Latkovic, Lilly Latkovic, Ethan Johnson, Alyssa Johnson, Nicole Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Grace Wallace, Arthur Wallace, and Tommy Wallace. He was the dear brother of Peter Latkovic (Ilona), John Latkovic (Carol), and the late Mark Latkovic (Jean), and an adored uncle and friend to many.
Kenneth earned his bachelor's degree from John Carroll University and his master's degree in education from Cleveland State University. He dedicated 32 years to teaching English at John Marshall High School. Teaching was more than a profession; it was an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people, and he leaves behind a legacy through the many students whose lives he touched.
He was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union. Kenneth was an avid reader and a loyal Cleveland sports fan. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially taking walks through the Metroparks with Nancy. He never needed much to be happy, finding his greatest joy in the people he loved and the time they spent together.
Kenneth had a wonderful sense of humor, often with a little sarcasm mixed in, and a way of making people smile. Beneath that humor was a gentle soul, a humble heart, and a kindness that never called attention to itself. He was generous, thoughtful, and always there for anyone who needed him. He was the kind of person who quietly showed his love through his actions, never expecting anything in return.
His greatest pride and happiness was his family who brought him immeasurable joy. He treasured every visit, every conversation, every laugh, and every moment spent watching them grow. His love for them was endless, and the memories they created together will be cherished for generations.
To those who knew and loved Kenneth, he was so much more than a husband, father, grandfather, teacher, brother, or friend. He was a steady presence, a kind heart, a source of laughter, and someone who could always be counted on. His life was defined not by what he had, but by the love he gave and the lives he touched.
Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave, the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the memories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 from 4PM-8PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 14768 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11AM at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 3644 Rocky River Drive, Cleveland, Ohio 44111.
