Lissy was the former wife of Reinaldo Santana and the beloved mother of Jaimeliz “Lilly” (32), Ryan (29), Brenda “Florecita” (21), whom she lovingly called “Fat-Fat”, and Serenity “Ladybug” (8). She was the younger sister of Betsy, the elder sister to Brendy, and the middle child to her mother Elba and father Jaime. She was a niece, aunt, cousin, and grandmother many.
She was preceded in death by Baby Brandon, her grandfather and father, who share the name Jaime.
Known affectionately as Lissy to her friends, Mami to her children, and even Freckles to some, Lissy was a resilient, independent, and creative woman who valued her self-expression. She graduated at the top of her cosmetology class at Remington College, where she cultivated her natural creativity and developed her talents. She was an artist in every sense of the word, expressing herself through hair, nails, paper, and beautifully handwritten words. Journaling was one of the many ways she shared her thoughts, feelings, and imagination.
Lissy had many interests and a lifelong curiosity that inspired her to keep exploring opportunities to learn. She enjoyed reading, especially true-crime novels, celebrating Halloween, watching scary movies, and relaxing while enjoying her favorite show, Judge Judy. She appreciated stories, as well as unusual and fascinating things that captured her imagination.
Throughout her life, Lissy faced significant adversity and hardship. Despite the challenges she encountered, she continued to persevere, grow, and seek a better life. Many of the experiences and struggles she carried were not always visible to those around her, yet she continued striving to heal, find peace, and discover healthier ways to cope with the difficulties she had endured.
Her life was not defined by her struggles, but by her humanity, creativity, resilience, and the love she held for her family—especially her children.
Lissy leaves behind a legacy that will continue through her children and through the many pieces of herself she shared.
May she rest peacefully.
Visitation will be held from 1PM-3PM on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at Craciun Berry Funeral Home 7200 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44102.
