

Louetta Joy Norton, 78, of Lakewood, Ohio, passed away on October 1, 2026. Born July 15, 1948, in Sullivan, Indiana, Louetta will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Louetta took genuine pride in her work, dedicating 40 years as a waitress. She approached her career with steady commitment and dignity, finding purpose in serving others day after day and valuing the honest work of caring for people in the everyday moments that matter.
Louetta’s life was rooted in family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wanda and William Shepherd, her sibling, Samuel Meeks and his wife Susan, and her granddaughter Savannah Rose.
She is survived by her daughter, Autumn Lee Alcorn (Daniel Alcorn); step-daughters, Cindy and Candice; siblings, William Shepherd (Karen Shepherd), Jo Ann Robbins (Ethan Robbins), and Wallace Meeks (Rowena Ventura). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: William, Brandon, Brooke, Melissa, Eric, Samantha, Crystal, Chad, Shannon and Melissa, and her granddaughters; Aislynn and Elyriah.
In her personal life, Louetta found joy in simple pleasures and shared laughter—especially through Bingo, Yahtzee, and card games of all kinds. She also loved travelling, music, and her dog, Carly, whose companionship brought comfort and warmth to her days.
Louetta gave of herself to her community in meaningful ways, including helping raise money for charity by singing with the ukulele band “Sarasota Buskers.” Her willingness to lend her time and voice reflected a generous spirit and a sincere desire to contribute to something beyond herself.
Louetta will be remembered for a life lived with quiet strength, steadfast devotion to family, and a gracious presence that left a lasting impression.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Freedom Church 12401 Cooley Ave. Cleveland, OH 44111 on November 7, 2026 at 5 PM.
