My beautiful grandma, Mami
You are so deeply missed and the pain of not having you here is indescribable. You loved and cared for me as a child, disciplined and guided me through my teenage years, gave me advice through my early adult life, and helped me as a became a new mother. I will never forget you being the first one to be excited, joyful, and happy when I became pregnant with Luna. When I told you, your response was “¡por fin! Gracias a Dios voy a verte tener un hijo antes de ir con el señor”. ( Finally! Thank God I’ll get to see you have a child before I go with the lord). You gave me a sense of peace in that moment and I knew that I will be okay. I think about you every day and will continue to think about you every day. I will forever cherish the moments and all the years I was blessed to have with you. I will make sure Luna and Stella know about their great grandmother and how much you loved your chiquititas.
