It is with deepest sympathy that Selita and I express our condolences to you. We regret not being there with you. We will miss our Uncle Madison (with Uncle Albert) who was our late step dad’s brother, William Meredith Wood. William married my mother Doris. Uncle Madison was a faithful member of the world-wide 21 million member Seventh-day Adventist church (SDA) family, his home church, Grace Community SDA church in Euclid, OH, was formally Glenville SDA church in Cleveland where he was baptized many years ago. We will miss his presence and personality. We place you in the care of the One who never sleeps nor slumbers, and the One who never leaves nor forsakes. 
Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God believe also in me.  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”–John 14:1-3.
Family, for the loss you experience now we say, “Remember!”
When death comes, and your heart is broken,
Remember Jesus’ heart is broken and he hurts with you.
When the pain of your loss is real each time,
Remember Jesus is there to help ease the pain.
When you want to smile, but you have to cry, and no one is there to answer the question why,
Remember Jesus can answer all your questions.
When family and friends have come and gone, and it seems like you’re all alone,
Remember Jesus promises He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Today when many acknowledge your pain with gestures of love and sympathy,
Remember our prayers are with you too.
Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal!

To you Wood family, and friends: I know you will cherish the memories and times you spent together with him; these memories can never fade; they will always be with you.
