rest in heavenly peace my cousin ,I may not never had meet you ,but im sad GOD YAHWEH took you home with my dear aunt jesse hunt who raised me and Melvin in macon ,ga.peace my dear cousin Martha rest in peace ,I wish I could be there in a time like this ,im sueing my job,but my heart ,soul ,mind ,heart is there in ohio,love you always until I see you in hereafter ,heaven oneday.

I just wanted to let my family know that my prayers are with them  and I love them 

My greatest memories were wonderful as a child, I had soooo many aunts and uncles and they loved all of us especially when they all got together during the summers. Those were the greatest times, so now its time for us to carry on these traditions with our cousins because she was the last of the Aunts and Uncles....RIH Auntie Martha

There is nothing like a "grandmother's" love. I will never forget our talks and your beautiful smile, laugh, and warm hugs. The many stories you shared regarding our family was a gift that I will forever cherish. You gave voice to the spirit of our ancestors until you to earned your spiritual wings. Our family will continue to share those stories as you have joined the spiritual congregation of cultural greatness and strong will.  

I will always remember how you showed us how to carry ourselves with grace and integrity, in addition to having a strong faith and how to apply it to our daily walks of life. I learned from you that if I held my head up high when I stumbled in life, my faith would not hit the ground.  You were the one who kept everyone together. 

There will be a void in this family without you being here, but your spirit, laugh, and smile will always be on our minds and in our hearts. I am thankful for the time we had together. I will forever be grateful to God for you being my grandma. Spread your golden wings and fly.

My grandmother was loved by many, 89 years she spent on this earth and that was a blessing. All the pain is gone now and may she rest peacefully. You will be missed dearly. May all us grandchildren be strong and very supportive for our parents. Love you all.

Aunt  Martha your middle initial was L and you were a God given leader.   In your time as  a child you started a journey of being a daughter, sister and a caretaker.  You have served your family well and you always came back to Macon, Georgia to check on them.  You are the matriarch of the Rivers family.  Helping raise your siblings while grandmama was sick.  Never have you been selfish and forgot your family.   You had such a loving, kind and compassionate  spirit.  I’m gonna miss you  so much.  Especially our talks and our laughs.  Then you would say Kimberly your voicemail is full I couldn’t leave you a message.  When I was in desperate need you networked with your children to help me and my family.  I have never forgotten that and you did what family members should do,   You were just like a mother to me.   Reality has set in and I’m hurting, but God has you in his loving care.    Take your rest in Heaven  !!!

Hey grandma it's Shanna, I just want you to know that I love you so much and my heart will always hold you close. This is hard for me grandma, but you've always wanted the best for me and for that I will continue to put my best foot forward!! I miss you so much already. Until we meet again, watch over me and the family because as you know you were the glue in a lot of ways. Things will never be the same. Love always, Shanna. 💜
