Heavy was a beloved son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend whose presence brought joy, laughter, and love to the lives of everyone who knew him. He was the cherished son of Francisco Montes and the late Petra (nee Santiago); brother of Francisco Montes Jr., Wanda Mandry (Jose), and the late Henry Montes; uncle of Henry Mandry, Yamaira Mandry, Francisco Montes III, Adrian Mandry (Jezenia), Anthony Montes, Bianca Montes, and the late Yahira Mandry; and great-uncle of many.

Heavy was a genuinely happy and loving man who found joy in the simple things in life, especially being surrounded by his family. His family meant everything to him, and some of his happiest moments were spent laughing, talking, making memories, and simply enjoying time together. He had a way of bringing happiness into a room and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Heavy had a deep love for music. He loved singing and playing music with his band, sharing his passion and talent through the tambora, güiro, and bongos. Music was more than a hobby to Heavy—it was a part of who he was and a way he connected with others. The sound of his music and the joy he brought while playing will remain treasured memories for those who had the privilege of sharing those moments with him.

He also had a special love for his cars and took great pride in keeping them clean and looking their best. And, of course, Heavy was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan, proudly supporting his team through every season. Heavy lived his life with strength, determination, and a joyful spirit.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Heavy's love, laughter, music, and memories will live on in all of us. He will be deeply missed every day, but he will never be forgotten. His family and friends will forever carry a piece of him in their hearts.

Come celebrate Heavy’s life on Monday, September 28, from 2:00–8:00 p.m. at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Ave.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 29, at 11:00 a.m.

Interment: Riverside Cemetery
