Maureen Russo

Maureen was the beloved mother of Judge Nancy Margaret Russo; wife of Sgt. Humberto "Bucky" Russo, (deceased), Cleveland Police Department; and proud daughter of James and Margaret McCaffery, who both served as members of Cleveland City Council. She was predeceased by her 4 siblings. She was an aunt, a friend and a mentor.

Maureen grew up on Hough Avenue, in Cleveland, in her mother's City Council Ward. It was there that she met her husband Humberto "Bucky" Russo and where her daughter was born. Maureen worked for the City of Cleveland, and then as Clerk of Council for the City of Mentor, where she worked for 40 years.

She loved with all her heart, and will be missed by too many to count.

Her daughter wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to all who loved and cared for her, and to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, for their kindness and care.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10 from 3 to 7pm at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44102.

Funeral Mass Monday, September 11, at 10:00 am, at Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 1007 Superior Ave., E., Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
