Melvin "Gene" McComas, age 87. Devoted and beloved husband of Eleanor (deceased). Loving father of Timmy McComas (deceased), Nancy McComas, Marybeth (Peter) Cipro, Becky (Mike) Spangler and Lisa McComas (deceased). Dearest Poppa Jessica, Brittany, Josh, Andy and great grandfather of Landon (Cody) and Grayson (Chubs). Dearest brother Sherman, Bill, Jack, Delane and Jimmy all McComas and all deceased. Dear uncle, cousin and friend of many. Our dad served honorably during the Korean War. Starting out at J & L Steel after the war he finished with LTV after 35 years as a steel worker. He loved to garden and had his own sections at Kentucky Garden on Franklin Avenue. He was an avid storyteller and had more shinola than most. He kept us laughing and will greatly miss him.
