It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Michael, who left us on Saturday, September 13, 2025. He passed away peacefully after being at O’Neill Healthcare Fairview Park, Hospice Care. He was preceded in death by parents George and Mary (Landa) Sokol, 7 siblings, niece and nephew. He is survived by siblings Thomas Sokol, Fred Sokol, Louise McLaughlin, and extended family. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating from John Marshall H. S. class of 1972. After graduation enlisted in US Navy the next day to serve his country. He was an avid reader, enjoyed the outdoors, music, cooking, animals, Cleveland sport teams. There’s no old rock and roll song he can’t recognize. Worked as a laborer. We will miss his gentle soul. May his memory live in our hearts forever.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 1PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Rd., Brook Park, Ohio 44142. Please meet at the entrance for procession.
