I knew Milagros since 1976.
Yes it was that long.
She was my sister's mother~in~law and couldn't have been the best ever.
They loved each other from the very beginning until her passing 2016.
Milagros and Mom were the best in laws anyone could have had.
She always had kids in and out of her home "en el barrio" in Manhattan, New York.
She welcomed them with opened arms.
It was always a cheerful home even if there were kids drama.😂
She will be missed by her family, but the memories are endless.
Rest in Peace and Bendicion!

When we couldn’t convince our mother’s to let us have a sleepover, you would allow us to stay with you instead. Nights spent playing Pokeno (then writing our names on the back of our favorite cards), drinking hot water (fake wine), and drinking Malta’s in an attempt to get tipsy off the .05 percent of alcohol in it. Thank you for always keeping the door open, even to little girls digging through your kitchen cabinets.

Her door was always open and her flavor will live on for generations to come …

I was caught u off guard in the kitchen and u always sound me out with loving words. How can I never forget the second important woman in my life that took me in and show me a way to better living and how to embrace all that life has to offer. My heart hurts for a second time to lose another mother to the gates of Heaven, I know you are in a better place without pain nor sorrows. I love you yesterday, today and always.
