

Ulysses G. Salett was born March 23,1941 in Cleveland Ohio to Mary and Frank SalettSr. He graduated from East Technical High School in1959 and also graduated from Moody Bible Institute in1984. On August 21, 1960 he married the former Geraldine Williams with whom he recently celebrated 55 yearsof marriage. Ulysses was employed with Western Unionas a technician and later worked for the City of Clevelandas a bridge inspector before retiring in 2006. Uponretirement he volunteered as a tutor for the ClevelandPublic Schools through Experience Corps. Ulysses accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at theage of 7 years old. As he matured he dedicated hislife to the study of God's word and evangelism. Heserved as a deacon, trustee and sunday school teacher forvarious local churches and witnessed to everyone heinteracted with even through his illness. Ulyssesfought the good fight of faith and demonstrated his love forChrist by trusting Him through every season of his life.Even during his final days he was a faithful witness with prayers and words of encouragement for nurses, doctors, and friends who interacted with him. He was the epitome of a True Christian Man until the Lord called him home. He passed away peacefully on Monday evening February 22, 2016 at University Hospital. His verse of comfort was Ephesians 3:20-21 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.Ulysses is survived by his lovely wife Geraldine Salett, hischildren Ulysses Jr. (Tammy), Marcus (Clara), Lydia Dudley(Steven) and Matthew. His siblings Frank Jr., Josephus,Fredrick, Mattie Lou, Marcella and sister in law Ella MaeWilliams, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a hostof nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is proceeded in death by both parents, Siblings Willa Pearl, Linda, Margie and Sylvia.Humbly submitted by the family.
