

She was retired from Kaiser Permanente where she worked as an assistant
to doctors and various other positions during her 42 years of employment
with Kaiser. Betty was an Elder in the Pentecostal Church of Christ. In
1996 she was ordained a Minister of the Gospel. She was also a member
and Officer for Kairos Prison Ministry.
Betty R. Cunningham was born September 26, 1950 to Mary Jefferson
and Frank Hardin. Betty was raised in Chicago, Illinois until the age of 15
years. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio and completed her education in
Ohio. Prior to Betty’s stroke she was attending the Bible College working
on a Theology Degree. She established a relationship with the Lord as a
young youth.
Betty was a vibrant, generous soul, one who literally lite up the room. She
was full of joy and always eager to help out, no matter what. Betty loved
her suits, hats and shoes.
Betty enjoyed reading, studying and sharing the Word. She also enjoyed
knitting, crocheting, cooking and shopping.
Betty was preceded in death by her father Frank Hardin. She leaves to
cherish her memory her mother Mary Jefferson Sims, children: Robyne
Cunningham, Courtney Dorsey and Christian Dorsey, grandchildren:
Taylor Cunningham, Taylne Cunningham, Norielle Joyce Dorsey, siblings:
Barbara Owens, Joyce Easter (Luke), Vanessa Sims, Robin Williams
(James), E. Louise Sims (Redd), Will Sims (Yolanda), Marchon Barber
(Ray) and many, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and aunt Lillie Torrence
