

in Tuskegee, Alabama to Aaron Crowell and
Olivia Howard, whom both preceded her in
death. Lillie attended Franklin Schools in
Alabama, then moved to Cleveland, Ohio
to live with her aunt. Shortly after she met
the love of her life and future husband Riley
Parker Sr. Their 51 year marriage started on
December 1, 1949. To this union brought five
children: Jesse James Parker, Riley Parker Jr.,
Articia McClure, Vanessa Johnson and Chinia
Coleman, eight grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
Lillie gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and dedicated
her life to serving him. She became a proud and active member of the
Mother Board of Lily Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Rev.
J.C. Barnwell.
Lillie worked for Saint Luke’s Hospital for a number of years before
focusing solely on her family.
Sister Lillie Parker departed this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018 to be
with the Lord. Her mom, dad, sister Rose Hale, brother Clinton Crowell,
husband Riley Parker Sr., eldest son Jesse James Parker, son-in-law
Lawrence McClure, daughter-in-law Valencia Parker all preceded her in
death. However, her sisters: Katie Jeter and Mary Love both of Cleveland,
Ohio still cherish in her memory. Along with her son Riley Parker Jr., three
daughters: Articia, Vanessa and Chinia, three grandsons: Tywan, Chris and
Larry, five granddaughters: Carrenda, Adrienne, Chinia Doll, Katrina and
Christine, eight great grandchildren: Tyriq, Tyron, Brandon, Tyra, Jermany,
Quinton, LaQuinton and Alani, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews,
cousins, other relatives and caring friends
