
her earthly life in the late evening hours
on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the
University Hospital Richmond Campus,
after several years of battling Dementia.
Wilma was born June 8, 1941 in
Sandusky, OH, youngest of two of the
late John and Bessie Hill. She lived in
Cleveland for over 30 years. She retired
from Benjamin Rose Institute in 2003 as
a Home Health Aide.
She was a member of Church of Christ Forest Hill, where she
enjoyed loving the Lord. Wilma enjoyed listening to music, dancing
and skating in her younger years. She later found a love and passion for
barbecuing. She also had a special place in her heart for caring for the
elderly. But of all, her favorite past time was spending time with her family
and friends, especially The Doctor Boys and her cousin Tina. Wilma was a
also a member of the Eastern Stars.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory two children, Rev. Ellis
(Min. Tanya) Payne IV of Youngstown, Ohio and Shellis D. Payne. Four
grandchildren: Avalondo Payne, Summer D. Payne, Ellis (Taylor) Payne V
and Dana Allen. Three great-grandchildren: Avalando Payne Jr., Autumn
Payne, and Elliana Payne. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Bessie Hill;
brother William (Billy) Hudson, and one great-granddaughter AaviannaPayne.
