Nalin Castro, age 76. Dearly beloved husband for 50 years to Alicia (nee Caraballo). Loving father of Lisa Castro, Nalin Castro Jr., Nector (Mary) Castro and Christine (Tony) Patterson. Cherished grandfather of Yissian, Channing, Zachary, Alyna, John, Caitlyn, Victoria, Carmen, Lucila, Nicholas and great grandfather. Dear brother of many. Dear uncle, cousin and friend of many. Dad was a hard working dedicated husband and father.
A proud United States Army Combat Veteran, he served honorably in the Vietnam War, carrying courage and duty with him long after the battlefield. His strength was matched only by his hands—hands that could mend anything, from car engines to tangled wires.
With a wrench in one hand and kindness in the other, he built a legacy of hard work, quiet generosity, and unwavering dependability. His life was a testament to service—both to his country and to those he loved.
A visitation will be held at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, located at 7200 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The Funeral Mass will take place at La Sagrada Familia Hispanic Catholic Church, 7719 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH 44102, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Interment Thursday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273, on November 6, 2025, from 12:45 pm to 1:00 pm.
