Paul R. Metts

He was born in Lonaconing, MD., the son of the late Harry and Ann Metts. Paul was the beloved husband of the late Waneda E. Durst Metts; loving father of Dennis Metts, Barbara Metts, and Dale Metts; adored grandfather of Michael (Jennifer) Gornall, Megan Hackney (Adam Kennedy), Melissa Hine (John Blankenship),Jessica Hine (deceased), Kristen (Andrew) Tench and Allison Metts (D'Metre House) and great-grandfather of Haylee, Kannon, Hayden, Dani, D'Mari, Sonja, Kaylee and Tessa; dear brother of Mary Metts, Robert Metts, and the late Jim (Gail) Metts, Buck Metts, and his twin, Pauline (George) Harmon; adored uncle and friend of many.

Paul was raised in Amend, PA , where they relocated to in 1928. He enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Korea from 1950-1952 where he was a MP and a cook. He then went to work for General Motors, where he retired from following 32 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Paul loved his family and always put God and family first.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 4PM-8PM at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9AM. Interment to follow at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery, 4700 Broadview Rd., Cleveland.
