RAMON DELEON "Monchito", age 89, Passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025. Beloved husband of Carmen (nee Lebron); loving father of Nilda Rodriguez (Geraldo), Manuel DeLeon, and Samuel DeLeon; grandfather of Vivian, Denise, Samuel, Loiza, Britney and Manuel; great grandfather of 5 and Uncle of many ; He is survived by brother Nazario DeLeon, Josefina Chevere, Ana DeLeon, Carmen DeLeon, Preceded in death by his parents Antolin DeLeon and Marcelina DeLeon (Vargas), sister Frances DeJesus and brother Felix DeLeon.
Monchito was a man of simple joys and quiet wisdom.
In his younger days, he was a strong, disciplined, boxer in the Lorain area. He later dedicated 35 years of hard work to the Central Brass Company in Cleveland, where he eventually retired.
Monchito loved long walks and found delight in sneaking treats to his grandchildren in his later years, he made time for peaceful naps in his hammock, letting the breeze carry him into rest. He enjoyed the thrill of playing the lottery and was a devoted baseball fan, spending countless hours watching and listening to games.
If you knew him, he was “Everyone's Papa”, Monchito even earned the trust of a squirrel who visited daily for treats-a small but special bond that spoke volumes. His life was filled with love and the little pleasures that made every day meaningful.
Monchito's kindness and the love he had for his loved ones will be remembered always.
